Now, if you have two “poles” or whatever it is that you have, those are blunt objects. They will provide force, yes. As to directly hitting to kill? You’re going to need a lot more than that to get a kill. Keep in mind, killing a “zombie” isn’t as easy as it looks in the films. You’re killing a human here. Severing the brain means going through the skull. 

Poles would be a good weapon but something perhaps… a bit sharper would be best.
